Privacy policy

Who we are
MyWord is a software service operated by Clingman LLC (doing business as MyWord), a Pennsylvania limited liability company in the United States. MyWord helps businesses review and manage comments on their Facebook and Instagram posts and ads, and coordinate genuine responses from people who choose to take part. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “MyWord” mean Clingman LLC. Contact us at [email protected] with any question about this policy or your information.
Information we collect
Account information. Email addresses of people who sign in to MyWord, sign-in codes and session records, and workspace settings such as brand name, brand voice and time zone.
Connected Meta information. When a business connects Facebook or Instagram, we process Page, Instagram professional-account and ad-account identifiers and names; post and ad identifiers, links, media and spend; comments and replies, available author names, identifiers and profile pictures, attachments, engagement counts, timestamps and moderation status; and the access credentials needed to make authorized Meta API calls.
Text message (SMS) program information. For people who opt in to MyWord text messages: name, mobile phone number, invitation details, the consent wording shown and the time consent was given, opt-out and help requests, and message delivery status.
Workflow and support information. Response-request wording, drafts, comment matches, activity history, feedback you submit, error and usage records, and anything you send us for support or deletion requests.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the MyWord service: to display and refresh comment threads, prioritize conversations, suggest reply wording, perform moderation and publishing actions a signed-in user requests, track whether requested comments were posted, send text messages to people who opted in, handle STOP and HELP requests, diagnose problems and prevent abuse. We do not use SMS program information for advertising.
Text messaging (SMS)
We send text messages only to people who have opted in through a MyWord enrollment form by entering their mobile number and checking an unchecked consent box. Messages are comment-contribution requests, notifications that it is a participant’s turn, and reminders. Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. See our SMS terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data, consent, or phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our SMS delivery provider, is permitted only to deliver the program. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Phone numbers are encrypted in our database. Opt-in, opt-out and delivery records may be retained to honor opt-outs and to demonstrate that consent was given.
Service providers
We use service providers that process information on our behalf only to run MyWord: Railway (application hosting and databases), Cloudflare (network delivery and website hosting), Supabase and Resend (sign-in email delivery), Twilio and its telecommunications carriers (text message delivery), OpenAI (comment analysis, reply drafting and matching when AI features are enabled), Apify (optional lookups of public post information that a user starts), and Meta (the connected Facebook and Instagram services). These providers’ handling of information is also subject to their own terms and policies.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, subject to this policy.
Retention
We keep information while a workspace is active and as needed to provide the service. Comments, AI results, requests and activity history can persist between synchronization runs, and removing a comment on Facebook or Instagram does not by itself erase MyWord’s saved record of it. We delete or de-identify information on request as described below, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations, honor opt-outs, resolve disputes or protect the service.
Your choices and rights
Email [email protected] to request access to, correction of or deletion of information about you. Include only enough information to locate it, such as your phone number or a public comment link, and never send passwords or access tokens. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity before acting. Text STOP to stop SMS messages. Businesses can disconnect MyWord from Meta in MyWord’s Integrations page or in their Meta account settings; disconnecting stops future access but does not delete records already stored, so request deletion separately. See also our data deletion instructions.
Security
Access to workspace data requires a signed-in account, access credentials and phone numbers are encrypted, and incoming webhooks are verified. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
MyWord is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy as MyWord changes. This page shows the current effective date.
